National Farmers Market Week: Explore, Connect + Go Local


Living in the Pacific Northwest we are fortunate to have access to many varieties of fresh produce grown by an increasing number of farms from across our region all year long. Summertime in particular boasts a plethora of healthy and tasty options for us to enjoy. Farmer’s Markets are meeting places for people to connect, exchange recipes and explore a variety of healthy options to add to their plates. With over 8500 markets in the United States we all have a lot to celebrate for the upcoming 17th Annual National Farmers Market Week on August 7-13.

From berries and vegetables to fresh eggs and dairy products many people, like myself, make a market discovery-stop a part of their weekly routine.
